I have eaten here several times and have always gotten the deep dish pizza. It's delicious. I am not a native Chicagoan so I cannot speak to its authenticity, but I am not concerned about that. Fresh ingredients. The Greek salad is also delicious and is served family style. Service is always great. Friendly and attentive but not overbearing.
My most recent trip, I had a calzone. It was amazing. First, they are huge. And delicious. You could easily share a calzone and a salad if you aren't huge eaters. I am not a ricotta fan so the fact that the calzone doesn't come with ricotta is a huge plus for me. I added spinach, carmelized onions, and green olives. The carmelized onions added just a touch of sweetness. I will probably only eat these calzones for the rest of my life now. -

Good pizza, beer selection and venue for dinner! They have a patio outside and are very welcoming to pups!
The menu is fairly limited, but it's a pizza place so I don't know what else you want from them. I'm not a fan of Chicago style, but the New York style is pretty darn good! We always order the Greek salad to split at the table, it is one of my favorite Greek salads around.
I have had negative experiences with the staff when they get really busy (like a Friday night), but most recently the staff is always wonderful! Overall great spot to enjoy a pizza and some craft beers! -

Cappy's is a hidden gem I wish I would have found sooner. It's a very quaint and cute establishment, and from the outside looks like a historic home.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and a perfect place to bring the pups.
Our server, Sam, was very sweet and polite and I enjoyed how she would bring us "H2O" (as she put it) when bringing us water.
My husband and I enjoyed the Cappy's veggie pizza with breadsticks while our friends enjoyed a VEGAN version of both the pizza and breadsticks. Although I'm not vegan myself, I appreciate when restaurants cater to a variety of people. It is very important to have vegan options, now to get gluten free bread next!
The pizza was delicious and a large pizza (16 inches) is definitely enough to feed 2 people. My favorite was the breadsticks!
Will most definitely be coming back and I plan on trying the vegan pizza next! -

Awesome place! Pizza was delicious and lots of micro beers to choose from all over the country. We got a large NY style pizza and beer. My wife got a pumpkin coffee ale from Asheville NC and I went with a green bench IPA from st Petersburg. Place is really cool inside and staff super friendly. Will be going back. I'll take pictures next time.

Cappy's is the bomb! We brought our friends here to try it out as well (they got non vegan cheese) and they loved it too. We get the veggies New York style pizza with vegan cheese, which I believe is the Daiya cheese. We order a small which is definitely enough for two people unless you are used to eating a large amount of food which is totally cool too. But for us, the small was the perfect size. We also get their bread sticks with oil instead of Parmesan and butter. WOWWWWW, they are the best. Our bill comes out to under $20 for a small pizza and bread sticks, you cannot beat that price especially with how tasty everything is. We eat outside at the tables underneath the beautiful outdoor lights on the patio. The only con I would give this place is that inside it's always so uncomfortably warm (for me anyway) but the service and food are so good that I'm still giving a 5 star. Also shoutout to our server, Hannah, she's great and super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu which helped us out because she knew exactly what to share with us in regards to what's vegan on the menu. You rule!
